The Audition Process

Membership with Cheyenne Youth Symphony begins with a simple audition process. Just fill out the Audition Form and we’ll contact you to schedule a time and date. Next, just select the applicable sheet music to prepare for your audition.

I was accepted, Now what?

Once you have been accepted into CYS, we have a few forms to get out of the way.

Please sign this form and bring to your first rehearsal.

Membership in CYS is $125/yr with an additional fund raising requirement of $100/member. If members raise another $150 for a annual fundraising challenge of $250/member they are are given special recognition at performances.

Members will be invoiced via PayPal and may pay through that platform, or through Venmo.

Rehearsals

CYS rehearsals are held every Tuesday in the LCCC Fine Arts building at 1400 East College Drive, Room 139.
Prelude Symphony – 4:45-5:45 p.m.
Cadenza Symphony – 5:45-6:45 p.m.

Cheyenne Youth Symphony Accessibility Statement
The Cheyenne Youth Symphony does not own a venue, but rather presents their concert performances at the Surrburg/Prentice Auditorium on the Laramie County Community College campus.  Rehearsals take place in room 139 in the Fine Arts Building of LCCC.  LCCC has a written accessibility plan that contains all the accessibility requirements of the ADA.  For the patrons of CYS this includes easy access into the performance hall and special seating for handicapped people.  The Administrative Assistant is prepared to assist any individuals with special needs.

Access
Patrons may be dropped off at the curb on the North side of the auditorium in front of the main entrance doors which leads to the auditorium.  There is also a ramp that leads to another set of doors facing East which allows handicapped people to enter easily.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located at the front of the auditorium between the two entrances.
